Is There L Bracket Mounting Plate Torque Spec for Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution
Updated 01/24/2022 | Published 01/23/2022 >
Question:
The torque spec is not give on the mounting plates that attach to the trailer a frame. It only says fully tighten. Can you provide the torque spec? “The end of the spring bar should be a minimum of 4” from the center of the L bracket backing plate to the open end of the bar. After verifying that the L brackets are 20”-25” from the center of the coupler, fully tighten the 1/2” hex head bolts against the trailer tongue framework. Figure 2 Do NOT use Loctite® Red”

Expert Reply:
Blue Ox does not have a torque spec available for the L-bracket plate you referenced. I would recommend just hand tight with an appropriate sized wrench or socket and it will be fine. No need to use any type of leverage bar to get it any tighter.
