What is the torque specs for the frame mounting bolts on the base plate?

Expert Reply:

The 3/8" bolts in the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1689 will need to be torqued to either 33-lbs/ft (Grade 5 Bolts) or 47-lbs/ft (Grade 8 Bolts). A Grade 5 bolt with have 3 radial lines on the head of the bolt, where a Grade 8 bolt will have 6 radial lines on the head, so you'll want to check the head of the bolt to determine which grade of bolt was included with your kit.
