Question:

Confirming the 2020 Audi Q5 Plug-in Hybrid allows for install of the draw-tite hitch mount? The instructions show a regular trunk with no battery, so are there instructions for Q5 55t Hybrid with giant battery in place of spare tire?

I spoke to Draw-Tite about their Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76183 and they confirmed that it will fit all models including your 2020 Audi Q5 Plug-in Hybrid. With the receiver replacing the bumper beam on your Q5 they agree the hybrid system would have no way in interfering with the installation.

The instructions that you saw and I have linked below are the only set of instructions that are available for this receiver. Since the steps are going to be the same for both vehicles there was no need to have a separate set for only the Hybrid.

As there is not a custom fit wiring harness available for your Q5 I recommend using the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT. This harness uses sensors to detect power going to the tail lights rather than having to splice into the factory wiring. The 4-way flat connector will allow you to connect to most small trailers as well as use Auxiliary Lights # C53201 with any hitch mounted accessory that impairs the clear view of your tail lights.
