Do All 6 Bolts Need to Be Used to Install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Part # 13322

Question:
My 4 bolts on the frame line up perfectly however the two bolts near the receiver do not line up with the holes on the bottom of bumper. Maybe my bumper was bent at one time. Is it absolutely necessary to have these two bumper bolts put in if the 4 frame bolts are torqued all the way to 126 and 110?

You will need to attach and secure all 6 bolts holding the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13322 to your 2007 GMC Sierra Classic. Not attaching all 6 bolts would void the warranty of the hitch and likely affect its capacities/performance. I recommend trying to bend the bumper back into place or buying a new bumper entirely as the two forward most bolt holes will need to be attached.
To ensure the new bolts do not cross thread while attaching to the weld nuts on the frame you will want to spay them down with a lubricant like WD-40 and clean them off using a nylon brush like part # 814092. I also recommend using the Curt Rubber Tube Cover part # C22272 to prevent rust inside the hitch for occuring while not in use.
