Question:
I just got an old boat trailer and need to replace some of the disk brakes. it is a 2008 trail rite with UFP calipers. I need to replace: - caliper - hub rotor 10 1/4 - brake pads Alternatively replacing it with a completely new brake could be an option. I just have to make sure the bracket fits the bolt pattern. I would like to reuse the spindle how do I identify the correct spindle type? Greetings

From the pictures you provided, you have a UFP DB-42 disc brake set up on your 2008 Trail-Rite. This isn't something we carry, but it looks like these systems use the # L68149 inner bearing and the # L44649 bearing, so you do have a common spindle for a 3,500 pound axle.
With that said, we do have the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HR35DS that looks like it would be a perfect replacement. This is rated for 3,500 pound axles and will use these same bearings, though not included so you will need the # DBRKHW35SS bearing kit as well.
I do need to mention that this will fit a standard 4 bolt mounting pattern that will measure 2-7/8" from center to center of each bolt (picture included). This will also use the 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern, which does look like what came standard on the DB-42, but I couldn't find that to confirm it so I included an article on how to confirm this as well. If you can confirm both of these things, the # K2HR35DS kit will work perfectly.
