For a 2006 Toyota Prius I suggest the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C11468. This is a confirmed fit for all trim levels of the 2006 Toyota Prius. This is a Class I hitch with a maximum gross trailer weight of 2,000 lbs. and a maximum tongue weight of 200 lbs. It has a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening.
If you will be doing some light towing and not use hitch only for accessories such as a bike rack, you will need wiring for the trailer lights. I suggest the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, # 118505. And either the Curt Class II Euro Style Drawbar with 2" Ball, # C45572 or the Curt Class II Euro Style Drawbar with 1-7/8" Ball, # C45571.
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C13340 that you linked to is for a 2002 - 2005 Kia Sedona.
