Question:
Hi - We have a 2011 Honda Odyssey with tires 235/65R17 I believe a slightly different tire size than in your video. What snow tire chains/cables and accessories do you recommend when I make a purchase? Regards, thank you

I looked up the owner's manual for your 2012 Honda Odyssey and discovered that Honda recommends using tire chains that have little or no clearance on the inside sidewall of your non-standard 235/65-17 tires. This is because there is limited inside clearance on your Odyssey.
With that being said, the absolute safest option is the Konig Premium Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - D Link - K-Summit XXL # TH02230K66. The reason why these chains are the safest is because the Konig Premum chains do not install at any place on the inside interior of your tires. This will help protect any wheel well components from damage or interference from the chains. The Konig chains also include ice-breaker studs that provide superior traction.
For another safe less-premium option, the pewag Servo RS Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - 1 Pair # PWRS80 are a good route as well. This is because the link thickness of these chains are only 3.2mm thick and the chains include a rubber cover on the inside edge of the interior chain. In order to use these chains safely on your vehicle, you must have a wheel well clearance of 37mm between the top of the tire tread and the wheel well and at least 15mm between the tire's sidewall and the vehicle itself. I recommend measuring your wheel well clearance to make sure you have this space. I went ahead and attached a diagram of how to do this measurement.
As far as additional accessories, since both of these chains come with tensioners, you will not need any additional parts. It is important to note that tire chains should go on your vehicle's front tires only per Honda.
