what is the difference between the k2 elite and the K2? I cant see a difference other than $300

The Detail K2 Elite Snowplow for 2" Hitch, # K2AVAL8219ELT on your 2017 Nissan Frontier uses an electric actuator raise and lower the plow whereas the Detail K2, # K2AVAL8219 uses an electric winch.
The Detail K2 Elite Snowplow, # K2AVAL8219ELT has an internal clutch that prevents damage caused by overextension of the actuator. It also uses a chain instead of a strap on the other model.
For a front mounted hitch on your 2017 Nissan Frontier, I suggest the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 65075. This has a vertical load rating of 500 lbs.
