Recommended Suspension Enhancement for 2018 Toyota 4Runner Towing a Boat

Question:

I’m looking at the 1800# air bags. The spare tire is located under the truck. Will I be able to route the air lines around the spare and not impact removal of the spare? I tow a rather heavy fiberglass boat occasionally. Would you recommend the Firestone air bags or the Sumo Spring helpers to reduce the squatting I currently see?

Based on what you looked at and the 1,800 lb weight capacity you mentioned it sounds like you are talking about the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle # SS78DR. Assuming that is the case, these actually do not require air lines so you will have no problem installing them. For your 2018 Toyota 4Runner the SumoSprings are definitely the way to go.

The helper springs will help to keep your vehicle level when towing and absorb bumps and shocks. They work indepently to help with off center loads or sharp turns.
