What is the current position of Lippert in regards to the Gen-Y goose ball hitch?

The Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box part # GY58GR is not yet approved by Lippert but there should still be no issues in using it as it attaches to the same pre-drilled holes as the factory pin box. The warranty wouldn't be able to be void by simply installing one either.

If you're looking for added peace of mind you can use the Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter part # RP85FR which is currently approved by Lippert.
