Question:

I keep reading that a 2014 Cadillac SRX can be flat towed, and the base plate installed to a car without cruise control. What if we have cruise control? Can it be done?

I believe the issue you referring to is not traditional cruise control but the feature on many later model vehicles of adaptive cruise control, which I don't believe the 2014 Cadillac SRX models were equipped with. However, please verify this with your vehicle specific owners manual and look under under recreational towing section for any other restrictions your specific vehicles trim level and options may have.
