The hitch assembly you sent was clearly damaged - box distorted and a hole in it - Metal scraped a lot on one of the vertical members. Vertical member bent too much to install. It appeared it had been shipped and returned before. Obviously, whoever labeled it and shipped it out again did not check it out - DID NOT CARE.
And then, even though I reported it as damaged, I was charged a restocking fee!?!?! Let’s see > paid $[XX] on 08/28/25 – credited $[XX] on 1/17/2025 > six weeks later!!?!?!
Fortunately, Advance Auto had a coupon for a higher dollar purchase, and I picked up an unscathed CURT at the store in a couple of days
The supplied hitch from e trailer bolts up to the factory frame welded nuts. Very strong and quick installation. I used a pair of ramps to give me more room to work and used my floor jack to hold the hitch receiver in place as I started the bolts. From start to finish approx. 60 minutes, and I am 76 years old. Super easy and straight forward installation. Watch the e trailer installation video and you will see how smoothly this installation is. This is the third vehicle I have installed an e trailer hitch and the easiest installation of all three because the wiring harness and attachment points are provided.
Installation was super easy and the hitch was great quality, that being said it has started to show signs of rust where I had to repaint the areas that were damaged in transit. I did email etrailer and was given a little credit. I have since ordered another hitch for our 2023 Honda CRV which also came damaged but was not compensated on it. You guys do a first class job on everything you do except for your packaging department which a terrible job reinforcing the hitch in the boxes.
One of the center bolt hole was about an 1/8" off. Had to modify to fit. Installation easy and straight forward.
Nice fit! Looks great! Love the flat black finish! The only trouble I had was with some rusty threads on my car, but with a little perseverance, I have a great looking hitch that Is going to work just fine for me!
The bolt hole do not line up. I could only put 1 bolt on each side. It didn't matter which holes I started with. There was only one hole on each side that would line up. I had to enlarge every hole on the hitch to make it fit. I've been a mechanic for 47 years and this is the worst hitch I have ever put on.

Everything worked out great. Easy install and looks good, especially with the matte finish. Installation videos for my exact vehicle was a big plus. Hauled small trailer from central Texas to south Florida. Would buy from again.

The videos to review before install made all the difference. Cleaning the threads before installing was worth the prep. My hitch fit perfectly.
This trailer hitch was all plug and play. Very easy install on my Cadillac SRX. I modified the center bottom bumper in an effort to make my car more visually seamless and smooth. I have to drop the center piece to install the hitch pin, but as often as I use it, it's not a bother.
Price was very good, Shipping was fast, instructions were comprehensive, and installation was quick. Prior to the install, I watched etrailer's video, online. After I finally got all of my bolt holes aligned, and started threading the bolts in, I realized that I hadn't yet installed the wiring harness pigtail, for the 4 wire connector. So I had to take it down again, and start over. No big deal. Ultimately, I'm well satisfied (but in fairness, I've yet to tow with it).
Also, I take pride in the appearance of my vehicles, and I didn't like the enormous gap left after removing the rear bumper fascia panel. So after taking some measurements, I decided to cut the plastic panel with a utility knife, and reinstall it. Now, it looks great too.
Hitch works peefect and looks great. Another great job by etrailer!
Your product is far superior the other manufactures of hitches. I've used a few and will now only use E-Trailer on all my needs.

I am sorry you do not have an additional star for beyond excellent. It came in today. I dropped it off at our mechanic, since I was getting new tires. He had the hitch on in minutes!! Everything needed was included. It got here very fast, within days, without having to pay for rush. AND MOST UNIQUE, the customer care was so very nice. The sincere care comes through in their tone over the phone. It stood out because it rarely now. I truly appreciate you all. I am ready to install my bike rack :o)! I will become a permanent customer. I had already heard about this particular part from a bike shop.

The hitch cover light almost looks like you don't have a hitch on at all and it's just part of the trim :) Looks great, Shannon!
