i have a 2019 hrv. do snow chains go on front tires or rear tires?

Since the 2019 Honda HR-V is front wheel drive if you were to install a single set of tire chains you'd want to install them on the front axle. For optimum braking and handling though having them installed on all tires would be your best option.

When I pulled up the owners manual of your vehicle I did find that Honda only recommends tire cables like part # PW1038 for if you have the tire size 215/75-17. If instead you had a different size tire Honda states not to run chains or cables. For tensioners then you'd want the part # PW105.
