Question:
Will it damage the power folding mechanism if someone manually folds the mirror in?

I recommend against manually forcing any powered option on the K-Source Custom Towing Mirrors, # KS60199-00C. There will be some give in certain areas but as a general rule, use the powered movement for powered features. But if you are stuck and need to force it, then you have no choice.
