Question:
I have a trailer with 12 Dexter brakes..I see two 12 assemblies available here..23-180-181 or 23-105-106...Will either work? I also need bearing kits for my hubs...Looks like 1-1/4 x 1-3/8 spindle...68111 on outer race... Thanks

The Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-180-181 (7,000 lbs.) and Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-105-106 (6,000 lbs.) are both 12" x 2" brakes so they are interchangeable, but they have different axle ratings. The # 23-180-181 is rated for 7,000 lb. axles and the # 23-105-106 is rated for 6,000 lb. axles. You will want to match them to the weight rating of your axle to make sure you get adequate braking for your trailer.
I was able to locate a bearing that fits with the outer race you gave me and or the measurements, but every product that fit that came back to a 10" brake assembly. In order to ensure you get the correct bearings you will need to take apart your current hub assembly and look at the bearings themselves; wipe away the grease and you should be able to see the part number stamped directly on them. If you are unable to find them, you would need to use a digital caliper to measure your spindle to the thousandths of an inch where the bearings ride. You can use the photo I've attached to see exactly where you need to measure.
