I need to install a 7-way connector and brake controller on my 2022 Dodge Durango. What will I need to have this accomplished?

First thing you will need is a 4-way flat connector like the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118617. This will power the lighting circuit portion of the 7-way. It will connect to your tail lights to provide the running lights, turn signals and brake lights portion of the 7-way harness.

The Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 will connect to the 4-way flat connector and give you the additional wiring that you need to run both the brake line circuit and charge line on your 7-way.

For a brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 as being the best option for you. This controller proportional so that it will automatically adjust braking to the trailer depending on how hard the brakes are applied in your Durango. The LCD screen is very easy to read and it is customizable. If you have issues with the trailer brake the built in diagnostic features of this controller will help you to determine where to check to resolve the issue.
