Replacement Atwood Air Command Options

Question:
Attwood commander ac Was reading another post on your site. So im understanding that their is no difference in the TOP UNIT. What makes it ducted or Non-ducted is which interior system you mount to it. Is that correct?? Mine just started vibrating badly today, only when compressor cuts in. Not with the fan settings. Fan runs smoothly all settings. Talked to my service guy and we agree to just replace the TOP UNIT, Since mine is Non-ducted w/ remote control. SO, Need cost, availability and time expected on both 13.5 and 15k unit as at this time not sure which I have. Should know my size in a day or two... Thank You

For the most part, yes, that is a correct statement. The upper portion is the same or at least very similar with the lower components varying between ducted and ductless systems. There will probably some small technical items that can be pointed out with some manufacturers and some units, but in a broad covering, that is correct. Note that also within ducted classifications, there are a few units listed as ducted because of the style of air distribution box that is attached. Although the unit is not connected to more traditional type of ductwork.
If you currently have an Atwood Air Command, we have the following available for direct replacements. The 13,500 Btu Atwood Air Command Rooftop RV Air Conditioner, # AT15027-22 with a white cover and the same unit with a black cover in # AT15032-22.
The 15,000 Btu Atwood Air Command Rooftop RV Air Conditioner with a heat pump and in a white cover, # AT15028-22. Same unit but with a black cover is # AT15033-22.
As for time needed to install, that is a very relative value. The aptitude and knowledge of how to do this task has too great of impact for me to assign an expected amount of hours. But, I am aware that some that are familiar with this type of job, have done so multiple times can most likely remove and replace in a couple to a few hours.
