Will Universal 5th Wheel Rail Kit Fit a 2011 Ram 1500 with 5-1/2' Bed

Will this kit for on a 2011 Dodge ram 1500 5 1/2 foot box for?

The Curt Universal Rail Kit # C16200 can essentially be installed on any truck, but Curt does say that the Bracket Kit # C16306 is also required for this to fit on your 2011 Ram 1500. This does still require drilling into the frame of your vehicle so if you'd like to avoid that then you'll want to go with the Reese Custom-Install Kit # RP50142-58.

Once you have these rails installed you will either need to use the 13K Demco Hijacker # DM8550040 autosliding 5th wheel hitch, or a stationary hitch like the 16K Reese # RP30047 with the Wedge # SWW-03 so that you can utilize a rotating pin box on your 5th wheel trailer. Either solution will give you enough clearance for the 5-1/2' bed on your pickup.

If you'd like to go to a pin box with a rotating turret please let me know what pin box you have and I'd be happy to help you find what you need. Aside from that I also do recommend installing a 7-Way socket like part # C56070 in your truck bed to help make connecting your 5th wheel wiring much easier.
