Question:

Is the Draw-Tite 76209 class III hitch hidden behind the bumper like the Curt C13382 for a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek?

Expert Reply:

It is not. When installed, the Curt # C13382 would be mostly concealed behind the bumper fascia, with only the receiver opening and safety chain loops being visible. The Draw-Tite # 76209 will be fully exposed, with the hitch crossbar being fully visible under the rear bumper. I've provided a side-by-side photo showing the installed appearance of the two.

If you'll be towing with the hitch, you'll also need a trailer wiring harness, part # 118467, a ball mount like # C45010 with pin and clip # PC3, and a # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for 2 inch trailer ball.
