Question:

I just bought the Swagman XTC2 bike rack. I watched a video on how to put this together plus I read all directions. It seems like it moves/sways a lot when I have 2 bikes on it and my SUV is moving. I am using the 1 1/4” hitch. What do I need to check? I have checked all nuts/bolts to make sure they are tight. Thank you!

If you have tightened all the nuts and bolts and the anti-rattle hitch bolt is tight, you have done all the trouble shooting you can do on the Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount. part # S64670, provided it has been assembled correctly. The next thing you could do is check your hitch pin hole to make sure it is not misshapen or widened. If that is fine as well, your best bet would be to add something like the Curt Cam Buckle Stabilizing Strap for Hitch-Mounted Accessories - 61" x 1" - Qty 1, part # 18050, to stabilize the rack.
