Can the Conventional Ramp Door Spring be Used for a Box Truck Door
Updated 09/21/2021 | Published 09/20/2021 >
Question:
Can this spring be used for a 150# roll up box truck door? The picture looks like it has everything I need, and the rod length/door weight/cable lengths are compatible, but all the setups Im seeing on eTrailer state that these are ramp door springs.

Assuming all of the dimensions and capacity match up with what you have, you should be able to use the Conventional Ramp Door Spring for 8' Wide Enclosed Trailer - Single Spring - 150-lb Capacity # 362SA8 for a roll up door.
It is recommended to take this to an installer like a local garage door company unless you have experience with a torsion spring system. What I would do is send the information for the spring along with what you have on your box truck to the installer so they can take a look at it and give you their opinion on whether or not this would work for your particular truck.
