We have a 6500 pound trailer and need a weight distribution kit. will this one work. Is being pulled by a 2020 tayota tacomo - 24foot trailer

To know for certain that the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System # C17499 will fit your 6,500lb 24' trailer you will need to determine how much tongue weight your trailer has. The Curt hitch is rated for tongue weights between 500 and 800lbs with the maximum trailer weight being 8,000lbs. You will need a 2" Ball # EQ91-00-6080 or 2-5/16" Ball # C40030 to complete this hitch.
We do offer a device that will help you find the exact tongue weight of your trailer. The etrailer Tongue Weight Scale # e99044 can be placed into the tongue coupler on your trailer and the weight read off the gauge when you lower the weight off the camper jack.
If you find your tongue weight to be higher than the 800lbs we have the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System # C17500 for tongue weights of 800-1,000lbs and maximum trailer weight of 10,000lbs. Or the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System # C17501 for tongue weights of 1,000-1,500lbs and a maximum trailer weight of 15,000lbs. Both these systems include a 2-5/16" hitch ball.
