Can I Attach A Backup Camera To A Yakima DoubleUp 2 Bike Rack

Hi, there, I would like to mount a magnetic wireless reversing camera to the bike rack so I can see my path when backing up. Is the Yakima Double Up bike rack magnetic to hold such a camera? Haloview Handy 7 Thanks! Regards,

Yes, your camera is magnetic and the Yakima EXO SwingBase with DoubleUp 2 Bike Rack - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount, part # Y92VR, is steel, so the magnet will work. I thought this was an interesting idea, while we do not carry the Haloview cameras, we do have some backup cameras that attach to the vehicle via a magnet. So we tested out your plan with a Rear View Safety WiFi Hitch Backup Camera, part # RVS-83112. We attached this camera to the Yakima DoubleUp 2 Bike Rack. The magnet did attach to the rack. But this is what we found out, the magnet on the Rear View Safety camera was not strong enough to keep it form sliding on the rack.
