Question:

Hello I have a new 2022 F350 Super Duty SRW. We pull a 40foot 3 axle toy hauler, Pin weight 3,300 Lbs. I am looking for air bags/ with air compressor. What system do i go with? I want the truck to ride normal when not hooked to the trailer. I have been told i do not need the jounce bumper in the bags? Please give me an expert advice on what both the air bag system and the compressor system I am looking for. I am not a high tech guy so the compressor should be hard wired? Thoughts Should I run an air tank? Thoughts Also I would like a high quality gauge package with the compressor system. In all i am looking for the best system to level the trailer going down the road with the ease of an air compressor to level the load. Thanks

Since you're pulling a 5th wheel trailer, you'll want to go with a air helper spring system that's compatible with an in-bed hitch. The system you'll need will depend on if you have a 2WD or a 4WD truck.

The internal jounce bumper feature can be a neat feature to have in the event you have a catastrophic failure of one of the bags, but if that should happen the existing suspension would still provide the necessary support for the short term, so it's not something I'd consider absolutely necessary.

If you have a 2WD truck, I'd recommend the AirLift LoadLifter, part # AL57391 or the # AL23FJ
for a 4WD truck. Both kits are compatible with trucks equipped with an in-bed hitch. Both kits offer up to 5000 lbs of additional support, which is plenty for the 3300 lb pin weight you mention.

If you want the ability to air up the vehicle tires, then a compressor system with a tank would be recommended, but it's not an absolute necessity.

When it comes to a compressor system, I prefer a dual path compressor which provides independent control over the driver and passenger side air helper springs which would help compensate for an uneven load. If you wanted a compressor system with a tank, I'd recommend part # AL25572. If you decide against the tank system and feel you only need the compressor, go with part # AL25856 which is also a dual path system.
