Question:

Hello, I have a 2006 Ranger trailer with Vortex hubs part number 81022. I need to replace the inner wear ring on the trailer. Will the spindle grease seal kit LM67048 inner bearing 1.781 bearing buddy work? The specs for the hubs are Individual Hub Capacity: 1,750 lbs. Axle Capacity: 3,500 lbs. Bolt Pattern: 5 on 4 1/2 Hub Height: 4 1/4 Inner Bearing included: L68149 1 3/8 Outer Bearing included: L44649 1 1/16 Grease Seal Inner Diameter: 1.72 Grease Cap: 48355V Thanks

With your hub having a # L68149 inner bearing, the Spindle Grease Seal Set for LM67048 Inner Bearing # BB60007 will end up being a bit too small. However, we do have an option that will suite your needs better.

The Spindle Grease Seal Set for L68149 Inner Bearing # BB60010 is designed to be used in unison with the # L68149 inner bearing and will fit your spindle and hub better.

is this seal kit you recommend a triple lip seal like the vortex comes with?

@RyanG The # BB60010 is a double lip seal kit. We only have one triple lip seal with part # DX49CR, but the size is different. This works with 3,200 to 3,500 pound hubs but has an inner diameter of 1.72" and an outer diameter of 2.57". For contrast, the Bearing Buddy has an inner diameter of 1.875" and an outer diameter of 2.360". This is quite a bit different so you will need to measure your current seals to see if this will work for you.
