Suspension Enhancement to Fix Excessive Body Roll on 2021 GMC 1500 and Support Rear Suspension
Published 08/18/2021 >
Question:
I leased a 2021 Crew Cab GMC with 58inch bed. The rear suspension is very soft and the vehicle rolls excessively in corners. To me the ride of this vehicle is way too soft! Given that it is a lease I must remove any suspension enhancements when I turn the lease in in 2023. Thus I was thinking of the Roadmaster active suspension versus a rear sway bar as that set up appears easier to remove. What are your thoughts on an approach that would enable better handling yet removable. Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
I would highly recommend a RoadActive Suspension kit for your 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 like the # RAS54FR that you referenced. This will stiffen up the rear suspension like you are wanting and greatly improve handling and ride quality. It also installs/removes very easily so when it's time to take it off it would be a very simple and painless job.
