Question:

I have a 2019 Lance 1685 travel trailer that has a WFCO model WF -8955pec 55 amp converter, and I want to switch from lead acid batteries to lithium batteries. I would like a converter that would fit in the same place that is capable of charging both lithium batteries, and lead acid batteries. what would you suggest. Thank you Lloyd

Hey Lloyd, thanks for reaching out. We have just the thing. You can replace the main board assembly to make your WF-8955 compatible with Lithium batteries. For that you will need the following:

- Replacement Main Board Assembly for WFCO Auto-Detect RV Power Centers - 55 Amp # WF76FR

This will replace the converter section and allow it to work with lead-acid (flooded, AGM) and lithium batteries. It has an automatic battery detection feature, so you don't have to mess with switches or jumpers.

What battery capacity are you running with?

Thanks Jesse, this is the one I was considering, but there are so many options that it can get a bit confusing, especially when you don’t deal with this stuff on a regular basis. Lloyd
