Question:
Good Afternoon, I would like to replace my suspension components with the Dexter-Axle/K71-656-00 but I have a question on the spacing of the shackles? My axle spacing is 33” and my equalizer looks to be just over 7” on front and rear one. Before I place the order I just want to be sure I’m ordering the correct parts. Also, do you recommend changing anything else while I’m down there? I’ve broke shackles and had to repair on the side of the road and from what I see the springs look ok just rusty and the u bolts also look ok just rusty. Thanks for your help!!

Thanks for that excellent info, and we do have an option for you, though the Dexter E-Z Flex # K71-656-00 actually has two different size equalizers, one that is 7-1/4" long and the other that is 5-3/4" long (from bolt hole to bolt hole) so because yours are both just over 7" you'll need a different kit.
We do have exactly what you need with a kit from MORryde that offers a substantial suspension upgrade that will smooth out your ride. It is an equalizer upgrade as well, giving you rubber equalizers with suspension travel, along with an installation kit that provides upgraded 1/2" shackle straps and wet bolts:
- MORryde Shock Absorbing Suspension Equalizers for Triple Axle Trailers w/ 33" Wheelbase # MR59ZR
- MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Triple Axle Trailers # MR86ZR
This kit is designed to work with up to 8k axles, so it will be perfect for your 6k axles to offer a much more comfortable ride. In regards to other parts, springs and U-bolts that are a bit rusty is normal, so unless you can see significant wear or problems, it isn't necessary.
I have added some links below to video reviews and installation instructions for you to check out as well if you'd like to take a look.
