Question:

Looking for the right heavy-duty replacement shock for my rig. It has a lippert suspension system. Dual axle, fully load rated at 15500 lbs. The currant black shock as it sits parked is about 12inch grommet to grommet... Thoughts?

I have a replacement option for you, but I do not know why Heartland put the Lippert Standard Replacement Shock - Black # LC283271 on your 2015 Heartland Bighorn 3270RS 5th wheel trailer with a 15500lb GVWR. These shocks are only designed for 3500lb axles.

You will want to replace them with the Lippert Heavy-Duty Replacement Shock # LC283280 which are rated for axles up to 7000lbs and will do a much better job on your trailer. This shock is only 1" longer so you will not have any fitment issues.
