Question:

What type of pin box do I need to get to extend my pin box? I have a 1116 now on a 36foot Montana. I popped my back window out and I want to extend it about 10inch - 12 It doesnt have to be an air ride but if that is all that is available I would get that. Also I am in Canada. 2017 2500 Chev Duramax with a 6.5' box. I also have a Mumby attachment that goes from a pin to a 2-5/16" ball. Regards

Since you don't want the an Air Ride pin box I recommend the Trailair Rota-Flex 5th Wheel Pin Box - Lippert 1116 - 19,000lbs Item # LC176440. There's only about a 1-2" difference between different 1116 style pin boxes. This Rota-Flex pin box has a pivoting head with a built-in rubber compound that works to reduce chucking and absorb road shock, resulting in a smoother ride and less wear and tear on your trailer.

Normally I would say to use a sidewinder or slider to gain turning clearance but since you're using a gooseneck ball with a Mumby attachment on your king pin I recommend using an offset ball. You can use the 4" Offset Ball for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Trailer Hitches # BWGNXA4085 if you have a B&W gooseneck hitch or the 5" Offset Ball for Hide-A-Goose Gooseneck Trailer Hitches Item # 19308 if you have a Bulldog, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, or Reese Hide-A-Goose gooseneck trailer hitch.
