Locking My Thule Hullavator And My Roof Rack To My 2021 Ford Bronco Sport
Updated 07/19/2021 | Published 07/17/2021 >
Question:
I have the Thule crossbar system VM1PZ-7855100-C and the Thule Hullavator Pro lift assist VKB3Z-7855100-Z installed. The rack system came with 4 lock cores and keys, but none with the crossbar system. Can I get away with using just 2 cores on the crossbars and the other 2 on the lift assist or do I need to buy 2 more cores? I would like them all to use the same key.

This question references different levels of security. If you want your Thule roof rack and your Thule Hullavator to be as secure as possible you can order extra lock cylinders that work your existing key. You would order the Replacement Lock Cylinder for Thule Racks and Carriers. You can find your lock cylinder number on the face of the lock cylinder. Once you find that three digit number you would at it to the end of this part number, THLOCKN***. For example, if you have lock cylinder number 054, your Thule part number would be THLOCKN054. Doing this will provide you with the additional lock cylinders for all of your Thule feet.
If you wanted a less secure setup you could opt for just locking two of your Thule feet and using the other lock cylinders with your Thule Hullavator. Please keep in mind someone could still remove the unlocked Thule feet from your vehicle.
I have included a link to our Thule lock cylinders below.
