Recommended 7-way Connector For 2020 Ford Edge AWD SEL W/ Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver Installed

With the class III trailer 2inch hitch on a 2020 Edge AWD SEL is a 7 round plug an option to be installed

There is an option to install a 7-way connector on your 2020 Ford Edge AWD SEL with a Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver like the Curt # C78KR installed.

You will first need to install a 4-way connector using the Tekonsha T-Connector # 118805 which will plug into factory connectors on your Edge so no splicing is required.

Once you have a 4-way connector is installed you can add a 7-way connector using # ETBC7 if you are planning on using a traditional trailer brake controller, or the # ETBC7L with the Curt Echo Wireless.

I recommend going with the # ETBC7L which will plug into your newly installed 4-way connector and will just require two more connections. The black wire will get run to the positive terminal with the included 40 amp circuit breaker, and the white wire will get grounded to the frame of your Edge.

If you need a trailer brake controller then I recommend going with the Curt Echo Wireless # C51180 which will plug directly into your new 7-way connector so you won't need to route any wires inside of your vehicle, or drill any holes to mount the controller on the dash.

Lastly to mount the 7-way connector to your trailer hitch I recommend the Curt Easy Mount # C58000.
