Question:
I am looking for a weight distributing hitch for a F-150 pulling a 9990 equipment trailer. Normally I will only have a gross weight of 7K but would like to have a hitch that would take the entire gross weight of the trailer. I notice that the Blue Ox hitch are rated at 8K/800, 10K/1000. Can I upgrade an 8K/800 to 10K/1000 with upgraded bars or is it a different hitch altogether? I eventually plan on using a Gen Y Boss 10K torsion shank with this hitch.
