The cold side brake switch wire on a 2017 Subaru Outback is brown with a white stripe, as you can see at about the 20:00 mark in the linked video. The video shows a different brake controller being installed on an Outback, but the procedure would be identical for installing the Tekonsha # TK90160 Primus brake controller on your vehicle. Even though the wire color is known, it's still a good idea to use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test, as wire colors aren't always consistent.
