What the the other options that will fit/replace the Atwood g6aa-9e? Are the other compatible ones that are the right size?

Your your Atwood GC6AA-9E according to Atwood measures 12-1/2" tall x 16" wide x 18" deep, has a tank capacity of 6 gallons. We currently have in similar specs, the Dometic RV Water Heater, # DMC74FR.

I suggest this gas/electric 6 gallon tank with automatic pilot at 10,000 Btu, it uses an automatic direct-spark gas pilot and an internal electric heating element to get hot water ready fast. Recovers up to 12 gallons of water per hour. Unit is small and lightweight for an easy fit in your RV's cabinet. Dimensions are 12-3/4L x 12-3/4W x 19-7/8D Inch.
