Can I Use the CargoSmart S-Curve Loading Ramp Set for a 1800 Pound SxS?

Question:

These will take 1500lbs on both. Can I use them to load an 1800lb SxS if only 1 axle is on the ramps at a time? I need it to go up about 18inch onto a trailer that doesnt have ramps. Im thinking that since not all the 1800lbs is on the ramps at once distributed between Ground/Ramp then Trailer/Ramp, it should be ok, but would like your opinion.

I have a solution for you.The main concern I would warn you about in this scenario is that if the weight that is either distributed on the ground or on the trailer exceeds 1500 pounds for even a brief instant, it could not just potentially damage your CargoSmart S-Curve Loading Ramp Set - Center Fold - 90" x 12" - 1,500 lbs # 3483086-2 or trailer, it could also be dangerous for the operator and any bystanders around the area. For this reason, I wouldn't recommend it.

With that being said, we do have a pair of ramps that will withstand all 1800 pounds of weight capacity you need. For this alternate option, I recommend the Arched Loading Ramp Set - Center Fold - Aluminum - 90" x 18" - 3K # 288-07432-2. Not only does the Arched Loading Ramp Set have a maximum weight capacity of 3,000 pounds, it is also a more economical option over the CargoSmart S-Curve ramp. The Arched Loading Ramp also has the same center-folding capability as the CargoSmart S-Curve ramp.
