You do have the exact right parts for the Redarc brake controller as well as the adapters needed for your 2014 Acura MDX with the factory 7-way in order to make this a plug and play installation:
- Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR
- Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3028-P
- Redarc Tow-Pro Wiring Adapter for Tekonsha Brake Controller Harness # 331-TPH-017
The Redarc adapter will be connected between the Tow-Pro Elite and the Tekonsha wiring harness; without this you would need to cut off one end of the Tekonsha adapter so this just makes it much easier.
The Tow-Pro Elite was a really great choice because of its handy control knob which keeps a cumbersome unit out of your Acura's cab, and because it gives you more control over your trailer braking power than any other brake controller.
