Just bought a flat bed Freightliner. There is a 16 + 16 inch plate that I remove and the ball sits about 2 inches down below. Will this item still work. Tha

Expert Reply:
You can use the Convert-A-Ball adapter # CAB-C5G with your flat bed and gooseneck hitch that is recessed below that plate. The 16 inch square opening is more than enough for the adapter.
The adapter has a pin weight capacity of 4,000 pounds and towing capacity of 20,000 pounds. If you need more capacity I recommend the Ranch Hitch # AM3100 and safety chains # AM3109. It has a pin weight capacity of 6,000 pounds and gross trailer weight capacity of 24,000 pounds.
