How to Connect Clearance/Marker Lights to 4-Way Wiring

Question:

I understand the 4 way lighting White to ground, Green is Right turn and hooks to red wire and Brown to Black, Yellow same to left side. But.... How do I hook a regular marking light with no turn signal to the red and black??? Brown goes to Red??? and black to ???? Thank you very much

The marker lights on your trailer will connect to the tail light wire on your 4-way. This is the case for both sides and as many marker lights as you have. In the case of the # 16-4B-1 Deka Bonded 4 Wire, you will be connecting the marker lights to the brown wire for power and the white wire for ground.

Typically marker lights use black for power and white for ground. In the case of your red and black wiring, the red is usually for power and the black is the ground wire. If that happened to be incorrect you would only need to reverse the wiring for your light to work.
