Question:

I have a 2018 Toyota 4Runner. The 7 way trailer connector is really hard to reach, so Im looking for a way to extend it by a few inches. So far I have found your Trailer Connector Adaptor with Lamp Out Sensor By Pass item #20142. Will this work as straight through extension that I can just plug into my current 7 blade connector? I dont think my vehicle has a lamp out sensor.

I have another option for you, but the Trailer Connector Adapter w/ Lamp-Out Sensor Bypass - 7-Way RV to 7-Way RV - Vehicle End # 20142 has built in resistors for vehicles with a lamp-out error and and since the lights are working properly when plugged in to your 2018 Toyota 4Runner, you do not want the increased resistance in the wiring.

Instead I recommend the TorkLift Wiring Harness Extension for 21" SuperTruss Hitch Extender - 7-Way RV # TLW6021 which is the shortest standard extension available for a 7-way connector.
