What is Tailgate Clearance with Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Shank # EQ90-02-4600

Question:
Is it possible to hitch a travel trailer with the tailgate down, using the 18inch shank? 2014 RAM 3500. We carry a SXS in the bed of our truck and would need to hitch while the tailgate is fully down.

With the longer Equal-i-zer shank part # EQ90-02-4600 that you referenced you can fold down your tailgate and hitch up to your trailer. I attached a picture that shows typical clearance with this relative to a folded down tailgate for you to check out.
