Question:
Hello, I have a couple of questions about this item. My first question is if I order item HMAV2 and AVT2, will I get the same parts in the end? The reason is that its cheaper to order these two replacement parts than ordering item HMAV2-AVT2. My second question is about installation. The instructional video shows an installation with the vent slots facing down. I have seen many installations with one vent installed high near the front of the trailerfoot wall with the vent slots facing forward and another one installed low near the back of the trailerfoot wall with the vent slots facing haft. This installation seems to give better ventilation. Is there any reason why the installation should not be done this way? Regards,

For the 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent for 3" Diameter Hole - Black Item # HMAV2-AVT2 I have sent in an update to resolve the pricing issue, but yes the if you order the HMAV2 and the AVT2 separately you will still receive the same parts that are in the bundle. Turning the vent slots forward would allow for more airflow when pulling the trailer but will also cause more drag and incase the likely-hood of water getting inside the vent and damaging the walls of your trailer so best practice is to install the vents facing down. You'll also want to use Loctite RTV 598 High-Performance Silicone Gasket Maker - Black - 2.7-Fl Oz Tube Item # LT37467 to ensure a proper seal on the exterior of your trailer when installing the exterior half moon vent item # HMAV2.
