What do I need to install this controller on my 2004 Ford E 250 and how should the controlled be installed on the van ?

To install the Redarc Tow Pro Elite part # RED44FR in your 2004 Ford E-250 all you need is the install harness part # RED87FR which plugs into a port under the dash.
Basically the knob gets mounted on the dash in an accessible location and then the module would get mounted out of the way. Typically under the dash or the center console.
