Can Rhino-Rack Sunseeker Awning Mount to Bottom Channels of Yakima Jetstream Crossbars

Question:

I would like mount the Sunseeker awning on my Yakima Jetstream bars but I have kayak racks on the top channels that I would prefer to leave where they are. Since I have approximately 5 inches of overhang each side, can I mount the Sunseeker to the Jetstream bars utilizing the bottom t-slot channel, on the underside of bar?

That's an interesting question, though you will need to utilize the top channels of your Yakima JetStream crossbars in order to mount the Rhino-Rack Sunseeker Awning # RR32132.

The reason is, the bottom channel on the JetStream crossbars aren't the same dimensions as the top channel and only meant to be used for mounting the bars to the Yakima feet.
