Question:

I really like your suggestion BUT there is one little detail that I forgot to say that looks like is a big issue. I have the Bak Bed Cover and I see that those clamps that attaches to the bed walls are going to interfere with the bed cover channels. Do you have any suggestion of a similar product that allows me to keep my truck bed cover installed?

I do have a solution for you to carry kayaks on your 2019 Ram 1500, but the Buyers Products Over-The-Cab Truck Bed Ladder Rack # 3371501410 isn't ideal for carrying kayaks as it does not have crossbars for kayak carriers to mount onto.

I highly recommend looking into the Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Aluminum - 500 lbs - 68" Crossbars # Y01151-58. This has crossbars that are 68" long and has a weight capacity of 500lbs on road (300lbs off road) which is plenty for 2 kayaks. There are built-in tracks on top of the crossbars that allow many accessories to be easily installed or removed.

You could then mount 2 sets of the Malone SaddleUp Pro Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs for Truck Racks - Saddle Style - Channel Mount # MPG1001 onto the MaxxTow crossbars. This kayak carrier will slide into the crossbar's top channel so you will not have to worry about the MaxxTow upright bar getting in the way since it is not a clamp-on kayak carrier. The weight capacity is 90lbs per kayak; keep in mind this kayak carrier is for 1 kayak, so you will need a quantity of 2. I have attached demonstration videos for the MaxxTow ladder rack and the Malone kayak carrier.

As long as your bed cover is mounted inside the bed rails and not on top of the bed rails then you can use a different style ladder rack in combination with your bed cover. If your 2019 Ram 1500 has the 5-1/2' bed then go with the Adarac Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Steel with Aluminum Crossbars - 500 lbs # A70450. If your Ram has the 6-1/2' bed go with Adarac Aluminum Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Aluminum - 500 lbs # A76FR. Both of these will mount on top of your bed rails. These ladder racks have a weight capacity of 500lbs each and have square crossbars that are 1-1/2" by 1-1/2". There are not any top channels on these crossbars so if you go this route then you will need a kayak carrier that clamps onto square bars. You can add Rhino-Rack Nautic Roof Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - Rear Loading - Clamp On # RR571 which will work on either ladder rack mentioned above. This is for 1 kayak so you will need to order 2 for both of your kayaks. One thing to keep in mind is that the Adarac # A70450 has 62" long crossbars and the Adarac # A76FR has 66" long crossbars. You may have part of the kayaks hanging over the edge of the crossbars when using this type of kayak carrier which mounts the kayaks flat on the ladder rack. Instead, I recommend going with a J-style carrier like Swagman Contour Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - J-Style - Fixed Arms # S65148 which allows you to carry the kayaks on their side and you will have plenty of room on your ladder rack this way. You will need a quantity of 2 for both of your kayaks. I have attached a few demonstration videos for you.
