Replacement Lock Core And Lock Housing For Yakima RocketBox Cargo

Question:

Hi, I have an older Yakima Rocketbox 16 2009-2011 generation and the lock and lock housing have been drilled out and damaged. Yakima said they dont sell a replacement lock housing. Its a really simple housing held in by a small retaining clip and takes a standard SKS core. Any ideas what I could use to replace the housing? Thanks.

For your Yakima RocketBox Roof-Top Cargo Carrier the correct key and lock core is Yakima SKS Lock Cores # Y07202, which comes in a pack of two. In regard to the actual lock housing itself, you can use Replacement Hardware Kit for Yakima Q Towers 2007 and Newer # 8880046 if the product images match what your current lock housings look like. This includes the 4 housings, clips, and endcaps. This is the only lock housing available that may work for you; if it does not look the same then feel free to send me a photo of your lock setup and I can try to find a new one for you.
