Best Bike Rack for Cruzbike Q45 Recumbent Bike

Hello. Im looking for a platform bike rack for a Cruzbike Q45 2 inch hitch. The bike wheelbase is 45 inches, Thanks in advance for your help

Very unique bike! I have some possible options for you. Looking at the picture you sent, and the specs for the Cruzbike Q45, it looks like the best method is for a wheel mount that fits under your front drivetrain. Especially since you said Cruzbike recommends wheel-mounted bike racks compared to frame-mounted ones.

The first is the Saris SuperClamp EX # SA4025F. I usually recommend this one for bikes with fenders since Saris has approved clamping further down the wheel where the fenders usually end as long as the front wheel is mainly immoveable. It only comes in the two-bike version, but you can see in the attached video how maneuverable it is for a single bike.

Another option is the RockyMounts MonoRail Solo # RKY10007. The SplitRail # RKY11404 you were looking at no longer has the single-bike version, but the MonoRail has a similar design especially with the wheel mount. The MonoRail is popular for its compact design and versatility. Also, that it is a single-bike rack is a bonus too if you aren't planning on carrying another one.

Still, if you don't mind having two platforms on your rack, I recommend the SuperClamp # SA4025F mainly for its extra wheel strap on the front wheel cradle. While both bike racks do a great job with their wheel mount, I personally like the extra security from the wheel strap "just in case."
