Is There a Fold Up Platform Rack Option with a Ramp for Loading Bikes?

Question:

Since factory is local, have you ever thought of retrofitting this bike rack with a ramp for rolling bike onto rack? The Thule easy-fold platform rack has one, but rack does not fold up against car when unloaded. I wish to fold rack and not drive with a 3foot rack attached to car.

That is a great idea and there is a market for it but we haven't won the manufacturers over with that option yet and we can't add anything to their products without a warranty issue.

We haven't seen a ramp for the Saris SuperClamp EX 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # SA4025F but there is another option with the fold up platform rack you may want to consider. The Access Ramp for Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack # ANVBRB is compatible with # NV12G, # BA12B, # NV12B, and the similar options for the larger 2 inch receiver. This rack does have the folding feature as well as quite a few other great attributes. I've attached a video to assist.

So far, only the Kuat NV 2.0 and the Thule EasyFold # TH903202 have added a ramp and it is only on these top quality racks.
