Question:

I have a 1994 Chevy P30 step van I use as a food truck. My bumper is not as deep as ones pictured. Can you confirm which rack I should use? Also, I need to haul 2 square 3000w honda inverter generators and need to mount to the front of my truck since mounting to the rear will block my taillights. Thank you

In order to haul 2 generators on the front of your 1994 Chevy P30 Step Van I recommend going with Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13703. This is a universal and adjustable trailer hitch that fits frames from 22" to 72" wide. You will need to cut and weld according to your application. The mounting brackets measure Curt states that all non-trailered loads need to be secured with Stabilizing Support Strap # 18050. I have attached a diagram photo that shows the dimensions of the # 13703 receiver and brackets. Then you can add 20 x 59 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18150 onto the 2" receiver you installed.

In regard to the your question about the rack, if your front bumper is between 4" and 4-1/2" wide then you can use 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for RV Bumper # e99049. This has a weight capacity of 500lbs, but you will want to verify if your vehicle's bumper can hold that much weight.
