Question:

I have a 2018 Tiguan. Vw will only install a 4-way wiring harness. I want to pull a trailer that requires 7 way. How do I go about this?

To add a 7-way to your 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan you need to add a 4-way connector # 118811 and after adding a 4-way you can convert it to a 7-way with # ETBC7 which is a universal 7-way wiring kit. The 7-way has to have the 4-way to work. I have attached an install video to help you through the installation process.

I also recommend picking up a brake controller since you're already going to be doing a lot of wiring it is going to make life a lot easier down the road. Tekonsha # 39510 and # 20127 are the correct fit for your vehicle.
